Company Description The District and Sessions Court operates within the Kupwara district of J&K offering a wide spectrum of judicial services. Located in the historic and architecturally significant court complex at Kupwara, the District Judiciary encompasses one Principal District and Sessions Court, various specialized tribunals, family courts, magistrate courts, and subordinate courts. These allow for comprehensive handling of legal matters ranging from civil cases to criminal trials, and petitions under various special Acts. Spread across multiple locations, the institution ensures legal services to the residents of Thiruvananthapuram and its surrounding areas. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kupwara for a Law Intern at the District and Sessions Court. The role involves assisting us with research and analysis, preparing legal documents, observing court proceedings, and organizing case files. The intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the legal processes and understand court protocols while supporting daily legal operations. Qualifications Knowledge and understanding of fundamental principles of Law, Legal Issues, and Legal Consulting Experience or education in Legal Document Preparation and familiarity with legal terminology Strong verbal and written Communication skills, with the ability to present legal findings clearly Attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills Pursuing or completed a degree in Law (LL.B or equivalent) Ability to work in a team and maintain confidentiality of legal information Prior internship or practical experience in a legal environment is an advantage
