Job Responsibilities – PA System Technicians Responsible for the commissioning, operation, and maintenance of PA systems installed in all plant areas. Troubleshoot and repair system components such as amplifiers, speakers, paging units, microphones, and control panels. Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance to ensure reliable communication across all zones. Perform testing, calibration, and adjustment of amplifiers, preamplifiers, and booster amplifiers for optimal performance. Manage wiring, termination, and zone control connections for paging and emergency announcement systems. Coordinate with control room and field personnel during system testing, plant shutdowns, and emergency announcements. Maintain detailed records of maintenance, fault rectifications, and system performance for reporting and audits. Handle installation and replacement of defective speakers, amplifiers, and field units as required. Ensure all maintenance and operational activities comply with plant safety standards and electrical protocols. Perform repair and replacement of hotline and digital field station spares, including PCBs, dial pads, earpieces, handset assemblies, mouthpieces, and cradle units.
