We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to manage customs documentation, import checklist preparation, filing of Bill of Entry, and delivery order coordination. The role involves end-to-end coordination with freight forwarders, CHAs, shipping lines, and internal departments to ensure timely customs clearance and smooth delivery of imported goods. Key Responsibilities: 1. Customs Documentation: Prepare and verify import documents: commercial invoice, packing list, purchase order, BL/AWB, and other required documents. Coordinate with suppliers and freight forwarders to obtain accurate and timely documentation. Verify HS codes, import duty structure, and ensure compliance with customs regulations. 2. Checklist Preparation: Create and review pre-shipment and post-shipment documentation checklists. Ensure documentation accuracy to prevent delays or demurrage. Follow company SOPs and ensure regulatory compliance for each shipment. 3. Bill of Entry Filing: Coordinate with CHA for timely and accurate filing of Bill of Entry on ICEGATE. Submit all necessary documents to CHA and respond to any queries from customs. Track clearance status and communicate updates to relevant departments. 4. Delivery Order Coordination: Liaise with shipping lines or freight forwarders to obtain Delivery Order (DO). Ensure timely payment of D.O. charges and coordinate documentation for D.O. release. Schedule transportation and coordinate with warehouses or plants for delivery. 5. Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain complete records of all shipments and related documents (physical & digital). Ensure adherence to customs, DGFT, and RBI guidelines. Prepare MIS reports on shipment status, duty payments, clearance time, etc. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Logistics, International Trade, or related field. 2–5 years of relevant experience in import documentation and customs clearance. Strong knowledge of Indian Customs regulations, INCOTERMS, and HS codes. Experience working with ICEGATE, DGFT, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle). Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong communication and coordination skills. Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously. For Candidates having Experience in same profile- Experience dealing with bonded warehouse shipments, SEZ, or EPCG Licenses. Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Logistics, International Trade, or related field. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in import documentation and customs clearance. Strong knowledge of Indian Customs regulations, INCOTERMS, and HS codes. Experience working with ICEGATE, DGFT, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Tally, Oracle). Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong communication and coordination skills. Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously.
