Role Overview: As a Full-Time Interpreter for the Karen (S'gaw) language, you will be an essential part of our language services team in India. Your role will involve facilitating effective communication between individuals and organizations that speak Karen (S'gaw) and English, bridging the gap across language and cultural differences. Key Responsibilities: - Accurately interpreting spoken communication between Karen (S'gaw) and English, ensuring clarity, neutrality, and cultural appropriateness in interpretation. - Adhering to confidentiality protocols and maintaining ethical standards. - Utilizing digital tools for remote interpretation such as Zoom and phone applications. - Working in rotational shifts, including evenings and weekends based on operational needs. - Demonstrating fluency in both Karen (S'gaw) and English. - Possessing strong listening and communication skills. - Having previous experience in interpreting (preferred). - Familiarity with remote tools and shift-based schedules will be advantageous.
