Key Responsibilities Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and capacity requirements to meet customer demand and optimize production efficiency. Collaborate with sales, operations, and procurement teams to align production plans with demand forecasts and inventory levels. Monitor inventory levels and manage resources efficiently based on Production schedules assigned to each factory Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and suppliers to ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and finished goods. Manage MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and inventory levels to balance cost and availability Drive efficiency in planning processes through ERP system optimization Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement to enhance productivity Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials to meet the Production schedules Monitor and Report progress on variance / deviations from schedule and reasons for the same including completing a root cause analysis and recommending actions. Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels by analyzing sales trends, production capacity, and lead times Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to gather data and inputs for accurate demand forecasting Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction. Track, analyze and report capacity planning, capacity utilization, headcount planning, resource allocation, order release, dispatch/shop scheduling, and the in-process expediting function at each of the factories. Generate reports and provide insights to management on production and inventory performance. Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization in production planning and inventory control by implementing best practices such as lean methodologies, and automation tools to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. Control various load factors to ensure maximum utilization of available capacity taking into account available labour, raw material and equipment. Ensure adherence to compliance, quality, and safety standards in planning activities Competencies Strong knowledge of production planning principles, capacity management, and scheduling techniques. Proficiency in inventory control methods, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization techniques. Exposure to Lean manufacturing, Just-in-Time (JIT), and Six Sigma principles Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing principles. Experience in managing planning for multi-plant or high-mix manufacturing setups Excellent organizational and project management skills. Proven ability to analyze and manage production metrics. Experience with ERP systems and production planning software. Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
