Job Profile: Accountant Position Overview The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate reports, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting management in decision-making by providing financial insights. The role requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to work with financial software and tools. Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate books of accounts including ledgers, journals, and vouchers. Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Handle accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management. Assist in preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Ensure compliance with tax regulations (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.) and timely filing of returns. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation. Monitor financial transactions and ensure accuracy in entries. Maintain and update financial policies, procedures, and controls. Provide financial analysis and reports to management for strategic planning. Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and taxation laws. Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, Zoho Books, etc.). Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under deadlines and handle confidential information responsibly. Educational & Professional Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (B.Com/M.Com/CA Inter preferred). Professional certifications (CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent) are an added advantage. Minimum 1–5 years of relevant accounting experience (varies based on role level).
