Job Title: Robotic Welding Supervisor Department : Fabrication & Welding Location : Ahmednagar Reports To : Production Manager / Plant Head Systems : Yaskawa & Panasonic COn Robots (8 Units) Position Overview The Robotic Welding Supervisor will be responsible for planning jobs for the robotic welding section and ensuring daily output as per the production plan. The role requires a strong understanding of robotic welding operations, fixture discipline, quality requirements, and efficient scheduling. The supervisor will coordinate with fabrication, assembly, QC, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth flow of welded components. Key Responsibilities 1. Production Planning & Job Scheduling - Prepare daily job plans based on the master production plan, priorities, and part readiness. - Allocate jobs across 8 robots to balance load, reduce idle time, and meet output targets. - Plan fixture changeovers and sequence jobs to minimize downtime. - Coordinate raw material availability with PPC and stores. - Maintain WIP levels and ensure steady flow . 2. Output Achievement & Monitoring - Ensure daily and weekly welding output meets planned quantities. - Track cycle times and ensure adherence to standards. - Identify bottlenecks and initiate corrective action. - Maintain shift-wise performance records and escalate deviations. 3. Robot Operation & Program Management - Oversee robot operations, program calls, and setups. - Make minor program adjustments as needed. - Ensure use of standardized programs. 4. Quality & Process Control - Conduct first-piece inspection for new jobs. - Ensure adherence to weld quality standards and drawings. - Coordinate with QA for inspections and corrective actions. - Enforce SOPs and process discipline. 5. Fixture & Equipment Management - Maintain fixture readiness and alignment. - Report fixture issues and follow up for corrections. - Ensure proper maintenance of torches, tips, and consumables. 6. Team Supervision & Shift Management - Supervise robotic welding operators across shifts. - Train operators on procedures and safety. - Ensure compliance with 5S, PPE, and safety standards. 7. Documentation & Reporting - Maintain production, downtime, rework, and consumable records. - Report variances from plan and initiate countermeasures. - Update job schedules and shift reports. Qualifications & Experience Education : Diploma or Graduate in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Welding Technology, or related field. Experience : 3–7 years in robotic welding operations; experience with Yaskawa/Panasonic required. Skills : Production planning, welding knowledge, fixture understanding, leadership. Work Environment Multi-shift production setup with strong coordination requirements and emphasis on output, quality, and safety.
