We are seeking a skilled Senior Application Engineer specializing in Metrology Inspection to join our business development and technical support team. As a leading provider of 3D scanning and metrology instruments, we need an expert who can demonstrate our cutting-edge technologies to customers, provide comprehensive training, and support our commercial initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise in dimensional inspection with strong presentation and customer-facing skills. Business Development Support & Customer Demonstration Conduct live product demonstrations of 3D scanning systems and metrology instruments for prospective customers Support business development team with technical expertise during customer meetings and presentations Perform on-site evaluations and proof-of-concept demonstrations at customer facilities Develop compelling technical presentations and demonstration scenarios tailored to customer applications Assist in preparing technical proposals and quotations for complex metrology solutions Serve as primary technical contact for key accounts and strategic customers Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert guidance on metrology best practices Conduct post-installation support and application optimization visits Build long-term relationships with customers through exceptional technical service Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field 2+ years of experience in dimensional metrology and quality inspection Proven track record in 3D scanning and measurement technologies Technical Skills Essential: Proficiency in PolyWorks Inspector software for 3D measurement and inspection Essential: Advanced knowledge of Geomagic Control X for dimensional analysis Essential: Hands-on experience with various 3D scanning technologies (handheld 3d scanner, structured light, laser scanning, photogrammetry) Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar) Knowledge of statistical analysis and measurement uncertainty principles Previous experience in technical marketing or applications engineering Experience with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) and other metrology equipment Knowledge of various manufacturing industries (automotive, aerospace, medical devices, etc.) Offered Package Competitive salary with performance-based incentives tied to business development success Comprehensive benefits package including travel allowances Opportunity to work with cutting-edge metrology technologies from leading manufacturers Professional development and continuing education support at OEM.
