About the Role This is a founder-facing role for a law graduate with licence to practise , working directly with the Managing Partner. You will act as the Chief of Staff / Secretary , supporting: Court work and drafting Policy and research work Communication and coordination Day-to-day management of the office Key Responsibilities Litigation support Legal research for cases Drafting petitions, affidavits, applications, notes Preparing list of dates, briefs, hearing notes Helping compile and organise case files and bundles Policy & research Assisting in basic policy/legal research Drafting short notes, explainers, and articles Keeping track of important legal/policy developments Founder’s Office / PS work Managing the Managing Partner’s calendar (hearings, meetings, drafting time) Tracking deadlines, filings and follow-ups Drafting emails, letters and brief notes Coordinating with clients, clerks, counsel and vendors Office & file management Maintaining orderly physical and digital files Keeping simple trackers/spreadsheets for matters and tasks Taking short minutes/action points for key meetings Eligibility LL.B. / integrated law degree Enrolled with a State Bar Council (or immediately eligible and intending to enrol) 0–3 years’ experience (newly enrolled advocates may apply) Skills Needed Strong legal research and drafting Very good written and spoken English; basic Hindi helpful Good communication and coordination skills Comfort with Word/Google Docs, PDFs and basic Excel/sheets Reliability, discretion and ability to handle responsibility Compensation Compensation will be discussed during the selection process, in line with the current stage of the organisation.
