Junior textile designer

You will be joining our design studio as a Junior Jacquard Designer where you will be responsible for creating jacquard designs for sarees and ensuring seamless execution on rapier looms. Your main responsibilities will include creating jacquard fabric designs using CAD software, translating motifs into weave-ready patterns, collaborating with the design team, preparing loom cards, and maintaining design archives. You will also be working closely with weaving, dyeing, and finishing teams to ensure timely execution. To qualify for this role, you should have a degree or diploma in Textile Design or Weaving Technology, along with knowledge of jacquard weaving principles and fabric structures. Proficiency in textile CAD software, a strong sense of color, texture, and fabric aesthetics, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential requirements. Familiarity with rapier loom operations, traditional Indian textile motifs, and saree design trends are preferred skills.
