Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Public Health Nurse located in Kanayannur, under the National Health Mission, Ernakulam. The Junior Public Health Nurse will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing and public health services to the community. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing community health needs, implementing health programs, delivering preventive and curative care, conducting health education sessions, and supporting case management for individuals and families. The role requires close collaboration with other healthcare professionals to improve public health outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Foundational expertise in Public Health Nursing and Community Health.
  • Proficiency in general Nursing practices and principles.
  • Skills in Case Management and ensuring continuity of care for individuals and families.
  • Basic knowledge of Medicine and its practical applications in public health settings.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse community members and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Completion of a recognized program in Nursing or Public Health is required; registration with relevant nursing councils is necessary.
  • Work experience in community or public health settings is advantageous.
