Junior Maths teacher

The primary objective of this role is to support the main Mathematics teacher in effectively delivering the CBSE curriculum, offering personalized assistance to students, and contributing to academic enhancement and classroom management. Your responsibilities will include: Academic Support: - Assisting in the planning and preparation of lesson plans in alignment with the CBSE curriculum. - Conducting small group or one-on-one sessions to aid struggling students. - Providing additional practice worksheets and remedial instruction. - Helping students comprehend core mathematical concepts such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, etc. Classroom Support: - Supporting classroom management and upholding discipline. - Assisting in setting up teaching aids, mathematical models, and digital content before classes. - Monitoring student engagement during classes and addressing queries. - Assisting in the organization of math-related activities, competitions, or exhibitions. Assessment & Evaluation: - Aiding the lead teacher in preparing and evaluating worksheets, class tests, assignments, and exams. - Maintaining records of student performance and identifying areas for improvement. - Assisting in the preparation of report cards and parent communication notes. Technology & Tools: - Operating smart boards, projectors, and online learning tools like Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams. - Supporting in creating and uploading content for digital learning platforms. Remedial & Enrichment Activities: - Conducting remedial classes after school for students requiring extra assistance. - Mentoring high-performing students with advanced problem-solving tasks. - Organizing math quizzes, puzzles, and Olympiad preparation. Coordination & Collaboration: - Coordinating with the main subject teacher for lesson alignment. - Participating in departmental meetings, training, and workshops. - Collaborating with parents during Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) for feedback and improvement strategies. Administrative Duties: - Maintaining student attendance and homework records. - Assisting in arranging and supervising examination rooms. - Contributing to the preparation of teaching aids, visual charts, and bulletin boards. Skills & Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics (B.Ed. preferred). - Good knowledge of CBSE curriculum and teaching methodologies. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Patience and ability to work with diverse learning levels.
