Job Description: Junior Lecturer – Chemistry

Position Overview

The Junior Lecturer in Chemistry is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to undergraduate students, fostering a strong foundation in chemical principles, and supporting academic excellence through teaching, mentoring, and departmental activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching & Instruction
• Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in Chemistry (Organic, Inorganic, Physical, Analytical).
• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with curriculum standards.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Student Support
• Guide and mentor students in academic and career development.
• Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and lab work.
• Provide remedial support for students needing extra help.
• Academic Contribution
• Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.
• Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, and departmental events.
• Engage in continuous professional development and research activities.
• Administrative Duties
• Maintain attendance records, grade sheets, and student progress reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues on departmental tasks and committees.
• Support accreditation and quality assurance processes.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Chemistry or a closely related field (M.Sc. Chemistry).
• NET/SET qualification preferred (as per UGC norms).
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with modern teaching tools and digital platforms.

Work Schedule

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
