Junior Engineer Civil

A Junior Engineer Civil is responsible for assisting in the planning, design, execution, and supervision of civil engineering projects, usually under the guidance of senior engineers. The role is ideal for candidates with a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, designing, and executing civil engineering projects such as roads, buildings, drainage, and sewage systems.
• Prepare and review project plans, drawings, technical specifications, and documentation.
• Conduct site visits for inspections, measurements, and compliance assessments with safety standards and construction codes.
• Support senior engineers in construction supervision and project management, helping to coordinate teams and contractors.
• Prepare progress reports, track project schedules and budgets, and highlight issues or delays for senior review.
• Participate in obtaining permits, submitting applications, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Develop and evaluate cost estimates for materials, equipment, and labor to determine project feasibility.
• Use engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office Suite) to create designs and technical drawings.

Essential Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute or university.
• 2-4 years of experience is typical for entry-level positions; internships or site exposure preferred.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, mathematics, and construction practices.

Skills Required

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office Suite.
