Junior Developer NodeJS

We are looking for a motivated Junior Backend Developer to join our growing engineering team in Bangalore. As a Junior Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems using Node.js, relational and NoSQL databases, and core backend concepts. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing Restful APIs and server-side logic using Node.js, Express.js, and other relevant frameworks. You will integrate backend systems with various data sources, including SQL and NoSQL databases, and write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. Additionally, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. To excel in this role, you should be proficient in JavaScript and Node.js, including familiarity with frameworks like Express.js. A strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Couchbase) is essential. Knowledge of core backend concepts such as API design, authentication, authorization, caching, and scalability is also required. Experience with version control systems like Git and familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows will be beneficial. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and the ability to work in an agile environment are essential. Preferred skills for this role include experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), familiarity with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD), understanding of containerization technologies like Docker, knowledge of message queuing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka), and exposure to micro-services architecture and distributed systems.
