Junior AI Automation Engineer

Role Overview: Valari Solutions, a Minnesota-based AI and software consulting company, is seeking a motivated Junior AI Automation Engineer to join their expanding AI Automation Team. As a Junior AI Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining automation workflows, creating AI-driven tools, experimenting with the latest AI technologies, and collaborating with internal teams to improve efficiency for clients and internal operations. Key Responsibilities: - Build and maintain automation workflows using tools like n8n, Make, Zapier, or custom scripts - Utilize LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, etc.) to develop AI-driven tools for tasks such as summarization, classification, and workflow automation - Collaborate with internal AI agents for orchestrating multi-step tasks across various platforms - Develop small RAG systems including vector DBs, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines - Experiment with cutting-edge AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Agents, LangChain, and share insights with the team - Create internal prototypes to streamline operations, reduce manual work, and serve as MVPs for client solutions - Document workflows, create diagrams, and ensure reliability through error handling and monitoring - Engage in collaboration with engineering, PM, and leadership to contribute to AI strategy and automation initiatives Qualifications Required: - Strong foundational skills in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript - Curiosity about LLMs, AI agents, and automation tooling - Basic understanding of APIs, webhooks, and JSON data structures - Ability to break down problems and build step-by-step workflows - Solid communication skills and a willingness to document work - Comfortable learning quickly in a dynamic AI-first environment Additional Details: Valari Solutions is a forward-thinking company that leverages AI and automation to accelerate workflows for startups and growing businesses.
