Junior Accountant supports the accounting department by managing daily financial tasks like data entry, processing invoices, maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts (AR/AP), and preparing basic financial reports (balance sheets, income statements) under senior supervision, requiring strong detail-orientation, basic accounting knowledge, and software skills (Excel, QuickBooks/Tally). Key Responsibilities:Data Management: Posting journal entries, updating accounts payable/receivable, handling petty cash, and maintaining accurate ledgers.Financial Reporting: Assisting with monthly/quarterly reports, balance sheets, and income statements.Reconciliation: Performing bank reconciliations and reconciling accounts.Invoice & Payment Processing: Receiving, processing, and verifying invoices and expense reports.Audit Support: Assisting senior staff with internal and external audits.Tax Support: Helping with tax preparation and ensuring compliance. Essential Skills & Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks).Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, organization, communication, and ability to work in a team.
