Jr. Software Platform Engineer

As a Software Test Engineer at MetLife, your role involves: - Adopting Agile ways of working in the software delivery lifecycle. - Working closely with software engineers to identify code defects or regressions. - Writing efficient test automation code using coding standards and best practices. Additionally, writing manual tests where automation is not supported. - Validating application functionality through the implementation of test strategies, automation frameworks, tools, and dashboard. - Participating in planning and documenting basic test strategies and acceptance criteria based on customer needs. - Participating in test execution (automated and manual) for new builds and regression, analyzing the reports, troubleshooting, and investigating failures. - Maintaining automation scripts and performing peer reviews of the automation codebase. - Analyzing and repairing broken test cases and failures. - Investigating, diagnosing, and repairing complex problems, testing bugs, and managing bug reports.
