Jr. Accountant

The Junior Accountant position based in Bangalore within the Accounts & Finance department reports to the Senior Accountant. As a Junior Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to assist in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role is well-suited for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of basic accounting practices, coupled with a willingness to expand their knowledge. Your day-to-day tasks will involve recording financial transactions and accurately posting them in the accounting system, such as Tally Prime or Zoho Books. You will be responsible for reconciling bank statements, vendor ledgers, and inter-company accounts, as well as assisting in the preparation of GST, TDS, and other statutory filings. Additionally, you will support month-end and year-end close processes, maintain proper documentation of invoices and vouchers, and generate financial reports for internal teams. To be successful in this role, you should hold a degree in B.Com, M.Com, or BBA in Finance or Accounting, along with at least 2 years of accounting experience (internship experience will be considered). Proficiency in accounting software like Tally and Zoho Books, as well as a basic understanding of GST, TDS, and accounting principles, are essential. Strong skills in MS Excel and Google Sheets, along with excellent attention to detail, organizational abilities, and communication skills, will be beneficial. Furthermore, you will be expected to assist in the preparation of audit documents and collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies.
