Job Title: Purchase Executive Mechanical Parts Location: Sipajhar Assam Industry: Ethanol / Chemical / Distillery Experience: 58 Years (minimum 3 years in mechanical parts procurement) Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchase Executive with strong expertise in procurement of mechanical components and industrial spares. Prior experience in the ethanol , distillery , or chemical manufacturing sector is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in vendor management, inventory coordination, cost optimization, and SAP/MM systems. Key Responsibilities: Procurement of mechanical items such as pumps, valves, motors, gearboxes, gaskets, pipes, and spares used in ethanol or chemical plant operations. Identify and evaluate reliable vendors and suppliers for timely procurement of quality materials at competitive rates. Raise Purchase Orders (POs), manage Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), and ensure accurate documentation using SAP/MM module . Negotiate with vendors on pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms. Coordinate with the store, maintenance, and production departments to ensure timely availability of critical parts and consumables. Monitor and maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid production downtime. Prepare and maintain purchase records, supplier database, and reports (including monthly stock & consumption reports). Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and quality standards. Follow up on pending indents, vendor payments, and resolve discrepancies. Support audits and internal controls related to procurement and inventory processes. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of purchase experience in a manufacturing industry; at least 2-3 years in ethanol or distillery sector preferred. Strong knowledge of mechanical items, plant equipment, and MRO materials . Proficient in Tally ERP , MS Excel, and inventory systems. Good communication, negotiation, and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Candidate Profile: Experience in ethanol, biofuel , or distillery plant procurement . Knowledge of utility and mechanical systems such as boilers, turbines, compressors, and other rotating equipment. Strong vendor network in the mechanical/industrial parts segment. Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning for plant operations. Manage performance management systems, employee engagement, and succession planning. Industrial Relations Foster positive employee relations through effective communication and grievance handling. Develop strategies to negotiate agreements with unions (if applicable) and oversee the execution of wage and benefit negotiations. Maintain compliant labor practices and manage employee grievances effectively. Payroll & Compensation Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in compliance with statutory guidelines. Oversee compensation and benefits administration, including final settlements and compliance with applicable labor laws. Statutory Compliance Ensure full compliance with labor laws (Factory Act, PF, ESI, Minimum Wages Act, etc.). Maintain regulatory documentation, licenses, and adherence to occupational health and safety standards. Coordinate with external stakeholders (e.g., labor and government authorities). Contract Labor Management Supervise contract labor documentation and compliance, including licensing, wages, and work agreements. Maintain harmonious relations with contract workers and vendors, ensuring safety and compliance. Training & Development Develop and execute training programs in safety, technical skills, and compliance to ensure skill enhancement and adherence to safety protocols. Manage the training calendar, track completion, and analyze effectiveness of training initiatives. Administration Manage facilities, security, housekeeping, and transportation to ensure smooth daily operations. Oversee vendor relations, procurement, and cost management for administrative functions. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Lead CSR activities aligned with company values, focusing on health, education, and environmental sustainability in surrounding communities. Qualifications: Educational Background : MBA in Human Resource Management or equivalent; Law or Industrial Relations certification preferred. Skills : Strong knowledge of labor laws, contract labor management, payroll, statutory compliance, and vendor negotiations. Competencies : Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; ability to work in fast-paced industrial environments.
