We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our team at a CBSE school. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching ENGLISH to students of all levels and be familiar with the CBSE curriculum. Referred Position: Secondary English Teacher (TGT). Required Minimum Years of Experience: 2 Years Minimum Approximate range of Salary being offered for the position: 3 Lakhs Per Annum or more, depending on the profile Notice Period, if any: 15 days or immediate Approval for Relocation acceptance (For eg, Accommodation availability, Travel allowance, etc): Yes TA & Free Accommodation Specification about the candidature if there (Eg, Gender, Age, etc): Age 25-45 Qualifications required: Graduate or PG in ENGLISH, B.Ed Job Description, if possible for detailed profile understanding: A well-trained graduate teacher who can teach English classes from Class 5 to 10. The teacher must attend classes with lesson plans and provide an excellent learning environment where the students can approach the teacher easily to clear doubts. The teacher has to upkeep records of notebooks and assignments. The teacher has to plan hands-on learning, projects, periodic tests, and all internal assessments at regular intervals according to the academic planner. The teacher must perform invigilation and evaluation, and maintain mark statements. As a class teacher or mentor, the teacher has to manage the homeroom periods, instil exemplary discipline in students, and interact with parents at the PTMs. The teacher may have to fill in for absentee teachers from free periods and perform other duties prescribed by the school from time to time. Please note that this is a class-based role. The successful candidate will teach 40% of the teaching load of a full-time teacher. The Academic Coordinator oversees and coordinates various academic activities and programs within an educational institution. Knowledge and Experience: • Minimum 1-2 years experience as Academic Coordinator • Additional 4-5 years of teaching experience • Knowledge and experience in using ICT effectively in promoting student learning • Previous experience and knowledge of working with students for whom English is not their first language. Leading Teaching, Learning, and Assessment • Set a model of excellence in classroom practice • Liaise with colleagues across the school to ensure a smooth transition of pupils about curriculum provision • Track student's progress, and monitor standards of learning and teaching to set realistic academic targets for pupils. Academic Coordinator's role involves supporting and ensuring the smooth functioning of academic operations, facilitating communication between faculty, students, and administrators, and assisting in curriculum development and implementation. The Academic Coordinator assists students in resolving academic issues and connecting them with appropriate resources and support services. Other Role: • Provide professional leadership. • Assist the Head of School. • Lead on pedagogical initiatives and approaches. • Lead on pupil progress and tracking systems in core subject areas. • Establish, evaluate, and develop the academic aims and standards of the Maths, English, Social Science, and Science curriculum and assessment. • Keep up to date with changes and initiatives in education viz. NCF, HPC, SAFAL, SQAAF. Overall Responsibilities • Promote high standards in all aspects of school life, particularly in student progress • Actively support the values, vision, ethos, culture, and policies of the school • Inspire and motivate students, teachers, and other school employees • Comply with the professional duties of the staff Code of Conduct • Contribute to a school culture that is positive, purposeful, and professional • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Wider Responsibilities • Build strong relationships with parents and assist in the coordination and delivery of parent curriculum meetings and/or workshops as appropriate • Lead staff workshops, training, and curriculum-oriented CPD Here are some key responsibilities and tasks associated with the role of the academic coordinator: Curriculum Development: Collaborating with faculty members and subject matter experts to develop and review academic curricula. • This includes identifying learning objectives, selecting appropriate instructional materials, and ensuring alignment with educational standards and NCF • Course Scheduling: Planning and organizing course schedules for each academic term • This involves coordinating with faculty members, considering student enrollment and faculty availability, and ensuring a balanced and efficient timetable. Evaluation and Assessment: Collaborating with faculty and administration to evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs. This involves collecting and analyzing data, planning and conducting assessments, and making recommendations for improvements based on feedback and evaluation results.
