A Psychiatrist is a medical doctor specialized in diagnosing, treating, and preventing mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. They provide comprehensive care to patients experiencing mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other psychiatric illnesses. Psychiatrists use a combination of medical, psychological, and therapeutic interventions to improve patients’ mental well-being and quality of life. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including medical history review, mental status examinations, and diagnostic interviews. Diagnose mental health conditions based on clinical evaluation and diagnostic tests. Develop personalized treatment plans that may include medications, psychotherapy, and lifestyle interventions. Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications while managing potential side effects. Provide individual, group, or family psychotherapy sessions to support patients’ mental health recovery. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Manage acute psychiatric crises and hospitalize patients when necessary for intensive care. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards. Stay updated on the latest research, treatments, and practices in psychiatry and mental health care. Skills and Qualifications: Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with a postgraduate specialization in Psychiatry (MD Psychiatry or DNB Psychiatry). Valid medical license to practice as a psychiatrist. Strong analytical and diagnostic skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient interaction and counseling. Compassionate, patient-centered approach. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Knowledge of psychopharmacology, psychotherapy techniques, and mental health legislation. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
