Dit doe je bij de Douane Je begint je dienst met het opstarten van de systemen. Er zullen weer veel containers arriveren op een van de terminals in de Rotterdamse haven. Terwijl jij een bak koffie of thee drinkt, verschijnen de eerste beelden die geanalyseerd moeten worden op jouw scherm. Jij bepaalt na de analyse welke actie er ondernomen moet worden. Bijvoorbeeld: het fysiek controleren van de container met behulp van de speurhondgeleider. In onze controleloodsen voer je samen met je collega’s de fysieke controles uit. Je controleert de goederen op allerlei aspecten, zoals veiligheid, gezondheid en milieu. Je bevindingen koppel je terug, zodat de juiste vervolgactie kan plaatsvinden. Door jouw werk kan de Douane haar taak, het beschermen van de Europese Unie, op de juiste wijze uitvoeren. Ook bij acties in de haven of bij samenwerkingen met andere overheidsdiensten zoals de politie, ILT en de NVWA kun je ingezet worden met onze mobiele scanapparatuur. Bij de afdeling Scan ben je onderdeel van een team dat werkzaam is in diverse processen. Dit zorgt ervoor dat geen enkele dag hetzelfde is! Uiteraard bereiden wij jou goed voor op het uitvoeren van de werkzaamheden voor deze functie.
