Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications may substitute for formal education. 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years focused on SD-WAN solutions, ideally Ciscos. Experience designing, implementing, and managing large-scale SD-WAN infrastructures for distributed enterprise environments. Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues, especially within multi-vendor environments. Hands-on experience with secure network design and configuring SD-WAN security policies. Experience working with Ciscos support team, third-party vendors, and various internal teams to resolve complex issues and ensure smooth implementation. Openness to continuous learning and adaptability to stay current with SD-WAN advancements, emerging security threats, and Cisco technology updates. Deep understanding of Cisco Viptela, Cisco Meraki SD-WAN, and related solution Proficiency in routing and switching, especially protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP. Expertise in VPN technologies (IPSec, DMVPN) and tunneling methods. Familiarity with network security practices: IPsec, encryption standards, firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and Zero Trust security.
