Role & responsibilities Supervise day-to-day operations of CNC and sliding head machines. Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs (Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi or equivalent controls). Prepare tool layouts, setup sheets, and ensure job changeovers with minimal downtime. Monitor machining parameters to improve cycle time, tool life, and productivity. Train and guide operators on machine setup, offsets, and basic troubleshooting. Ensure adherence to quality standards and first-piece approval procedures. Coordinate with quality and maintenance teams for process improvements and problem-solving. Maintain proper documentation related to production, tool life, and program versions. Support new product development trials and process validation. Ensure 5S, safety, and discipline on the shop floor. Required Skills & Knowledge: Strong hands-on experience in CNC Turning / Sliding Head (Swiss type) machines. Expertise in CNC programming (G-code, M-code) and knowledge of CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Esprit, or similar). Knowledge of cutting tools , insert selection, and optimization of machining parameters. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings , GD&T, and inspection reports. Familiarity with ISO / TS quality systems and process documentation. Good team-handling and shift management skills.
