Position Overview: The Perfumer will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving fragrances that meet customer briefs, performance criteria, and cost parameters. The role requires a deep understanding of aroma chemicals, natural ingredients, formulation behavior, and end-product applications , with the ability to balance creativity, technical feasibility, and commercial focus . Responsibilities · Develop and lead creation of fragrances for Agarbatti, Fine Fragrances, Home Care, Air Care, Laundry Products & other categories. · Collaborate with R&D, marketing, and production teams for product development and launches. · Evaluate raw materials and provide alternative solutions for cost-effectiveness and supply issues. · Conduct olfactory evaluations, stability testing, and performance validation. · Ensure compliance with IFRA guidelines and maintain formulation documentation. · Contribute to innovation strategy and market trend analysis. Requirements · Minimum 7 years of experience in perfumery (especially home care, incense, or FMCG segments). · Strong olfactory sense and formulation knowledge across multiple bases. Understanding of fragrance behavior in soaps, detergents, agarbatti, or fine fragrance applications. · Familiarity with GC-MS analysis and fragrance development tools is a must. · Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams. · Knowledge of IFRA and regulatory compliance. · Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about scent creation. · Strong knowledge of aroma chemicals, naturals, and fixatives. · Familiar with perfumery formulation tools and basic software. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): · Number of fragrance briefs converted into successful client approvals. · Fragrance stability and performance in end applications. · Cost optimization and material efficiency. · Innovation and contribution to the internal fragrance library.
