1. Gold Appraisal & Valuation

• Examine gold ornaments to determine purity, weight, and authenticity.
• Conduct standard tests such as touchstone testing, acid tests, and karat verification.
• Identify and deduct the weight of stones, beads, and other non-gold components.
• Prepare accurate valuation reports .

2. Loan Process Support

• Provide appraisal results to loan officers for loan sanctioning.
• Ensure appraisal details are correctly entered in registers and software.
• Assist in calculating eligible loan amounts based on approved gold rates.

3. Compliance & Safety

• Follow Nidhi Limited guidelines and internal policies related to gold loans.
• Ensure safe handling, packing, sealing, and storage of pledged jewels in lockers.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and prevent misuse or mishandling of ornaments.
• Identify fake, adulterated, or low-quality gold and report immediately.

4. Member Service

• Explain valuation methods to members in a transparent manner.
• Address customer queries regarding purity, net weight, and loan value.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily appraisal records, registers, and stock verification reports.
• Support internal/external audits related to gold loans.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 1–5 years of experience in gold appraisal (Nidhi, NBFC, bank, or pawnbroker).
• Knowledge of gold purity testing, hallmarking standards, and valuation techniques.
• Ability to detect fake or tampered gold.
• Strong attention to detail and integrity.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Minimum Qualification: 12th pass; certification in gold appraisal is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
