As a Senior Software Developer at Broadridge, you will be joining our dynamic development team to contribute your expertise in Java development. With 6 to 9 years of professional experience, you will play a key role in implementing coding best practices and driving software development initiatives. Your responsibilities will include leveraging your proficiency in Java and other relevant languages/tools to design and develop high-quality software solutions. You will utilize your strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns to create efficient and scalable code. Experience with version control systems such as Git and SVN will be essential in ensuring code integrity and collaboration within the team. In this role, you will apply your knowledge of software testing, debugging, and performance optimization techniques to deliver robust and reliable software products. Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS and Azure will be advantageous, along with experience in Agile development methodologies such as Scrum. Your problem-solving and analytical skills will be put to the test as you work collaboratively in a team environment. Effective communication and the ability to work cohesively with colleagues will be vital in achieving project goals. Experience in Spring Framework, web services, API development, JBoss 7+, Apache, and various tools like GIT, SVN, Maven, Jenkins builds, and Dockers will be beneficial for success in this role. Exposure to messaging frameworks like KAFKA/JMS/MA and proficiency in Java IDE tools such as Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA will be advantageous. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) is preferred. Additional experience with technologies, frameworks, or tools relevant to our organization, familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), as well as knowledge of database design and management (SQL, NoSQL) and security best practices in software development, will be valuable assets.
