Position Title: Production Engineer Department: Production Reports To: Production Manager / Plant Head Location: Jenith Technocast, Ranjangaon Role Summary The Production Engineer is responsible for supervising manufacturing processes, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role involves production planning, process optimization, manpower management, safety compliance, and continuous improvement to achieve cost-effective and high-quality output. Key Responsibilities Production Supervision & Planning Supervise manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety. Draw up production schedules and budgets in line with project requirements. Coordinate with other engineers and departments to develop cost-effective and labor-efficient production plans. Allocate and manage manpower effectively to meet production targets. Process Improvement & Problem Solving Diagnose issues in the production line and provide solutions, training, and process adjustments. Analyze all aspects of production and recommend improvements for productivity, quality, and cost reduction. Keep updated on advancements in engineering and production technology, sharing best practices with the team. Safety & Compliance Establish and enforce safety procedures that protect workers and minimize environmental impact. Identify, document, and report unsafe practices, ensuring corrective measures are implemented. Coordination & Communication Schedule and participate in meetings with relevant departments and stakeholders. Liaise with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and tools. Required Skills & Competencies Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience with CAD software and proficiency in MS Office. Proven experience in production engineering or manufacturing roles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities. Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail. Performance Indicators: Achievement of production targets within time and budget. Reduction in production downtime and defects. Implementation of safety protocols and incident reduction. Efficiency improvements in labor and material utilization.
