Familiarity with FileMaker Pro, Monday.com, FontAgent Pro, Workfront, Sitecore, Egnyte (training provided if required). Strong organizational and communication skills. Aptitude and willingness to learn new software tools. Image editing skills in Photoshop will be an advantage. Preferred Experience 1+ year of experience in packaging design or related industry. Position : Specialist Strategic Costing Basic Functions: Support Strategic Costing Team in cost improvement process by providing an effective industrial engineering and product engineering service. Assist merchandising and sourcing teams to ensure validation/reduction in product costs by undertaking cost improvement analysis Principal Responsibilities: 1. Improvement requests and assess new styles/ developments for raw material consumption and CM cost. 2. Initiate CIP analysis by collecting all relevant data for product cost review as specified by CIP. Import and check pattern files received from supplier to Gerber system and verify accuracy. Review Fabric Cost derivation, trims cost, SAM and Cost/SAM details. 3. Get any discrepancy or ambiguity in information rectified by concerned merchandising team/supplier. 4. Sample analysis, estimation and validation of Standard Allowed Minutes (SAM). Identify manufacturing processes, prepare/ validate operational break downs, calculate time standards and provide inputs for calculating labor/ operational costs. 5. Review patterns for specs, shrinkage, wastage, grading, ratios etc. Create markers on Gerber software and estimate raw material consumptions using software. 6. Do a comparative study of quoted vs calculated costs and get it validated by CIP Sr. Specialist 7. Convey analysis results and provide inputs to merchandising/sourcing team through mails or as required. 8. Provide post analysis assistance to merchandisers and sourcing in improving costs. 9. Research, gather and compile data as required by key stakeholders for reports, study or tools. Conduct market research, create reports and special assignments as required. 10. Visit and work with suppliers to prepare/ validate the following: 10.1. Improving operational efficiencies on the shop floor, by process mapping, audits 10.2. Assessing costs and identifying areas of improvement
