Industry : Retail Furniture and Home Furnishings Key responsibilities of a Quantity Surveyor : It is also a pre and post sales support function.. * Cost Estimation and Budgeting : Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for interior fit-out projects, including materials, labor, and other expenses. * Tendering and Procurement : Managing the tendering process, preparing contract documents, and negotiating with contractors to secure the best possible rates. Less of negotiating with our contractors, but infact more negotiating with our clients (who at times are big interior fit out turnkey companies - like Padams, ANJ, Exotic etc ) and also have water tight documentation on terms and conditions * Cost Control : Monitoring project expenditure, identifying potential cost overruns, and implementing strategies to keep the project within budget. Identifying opportunities to optimize costs without compromising on design quality or functionality. * Contract Administration : Managing contracts with suppliers and contractors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and resolving any disputes. * Financial Reporting : Preparing regular financial reports for clients, providing updates on project costs and expenditure. * Collaboration : Working closely with interior designers, architects, contractors, Sales Team and other stakeholders. Project execution is not included in the role, but liaisons with internal project team to have a check on costs is essential. * Keeping track of old quotations and good with excel, added experience on any ERP systems is an advantage Working Hours - 9.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Saturday Location : Mumbai (Nerul) or Bangalore (Indiranagar)
