Job Description

As a Java Specialist in Development & Maintenance at BMC, you will be part of a new engineering team dedicated to product support and patch development for mission-critical software. Your role will involve developing, testing, and implementing diagnostic tools and processes to enhance product performance. You will also contribute to patch development cycles, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance. Taking ownership of specific technical tasks and driving them to completion with a sense of urgency will be key in this role. Additionally, you will continuously learn and contribute to the growth of the team through sharing knowledge and best practices, while working cross-functionally to ensure software quality meets customer expectations. Key Responsibilities: - Be part of a new engineering team, focused on product support and patch development for mission-critical software. - Develop, test, and implement diagnostic tools and processes to enhance product performance. - Contribute to patch development cycles, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance. - Take ownership of specific technical tasks and drive them to completion with a sense of urgency. - Continuously learn and contribute to the growth of the team through sharing knowledge and best practices. - Work cross-functionally to ensure software quality meets customer expectations. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in a similar role. - Proficiency in Java and familiarity with Linux and Windows OS. - Result-driven, problem-solver at heart. - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
