Description
You will be a part of the Mphasis team as a Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead with a minimum of 5 years or 10+ years of experience, respectively. Your primary responsibility will be to support application modernization initiatives by leveraging GitHub Copilot and related AI coding assistants. Your focus will include developing modern Java applications based on provided technical specifications, accelerating development using AI-assisted tools, and ensuring high-quality delivery. Your key responsibilities will include developing Java applications based on detailed functional and technical specifications. You will use GitHub Copilot to accelerate code generation, solutioning, and development, with hands-on experience in GenAI. Additionally, you will review, refine, and optimize AI-generated code to align with project standards and best practices. You should have experience in BDD driven development and testing, perform manual coding, customization, and optimization as needed, conduct thorough unit testing and integration testing, and provide support for UAT. Collaboration with architects, business analysts, and QA teams for seamless delivery will be crucial. You will troubleshoot issues, ensure application performance, and maintain high code quality. Maintaining clear technical documentation, supporting knowledge transfer activities, and staying current on Copilot advancements are also part of your responsibilities. Required skills and experience include hands-on Java development experience in Java Spring Boot, Hibernate, Java Spring Batches, REST APIs, and Microservices. Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL/Oracle), GitHub Copilot or similar AI-based code generation tool, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and microservices architecture are essential. Familiarity with automated testing frameworks, CI/CD processes, experience in application modernization or migration projects, excellent debugging, problem-solving, and code optimization skills, Agile/Scrum methodology experience, and strong communication skills are required. Optional qualifications include experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes), prior exposure to large-scale codebase migration or re-engineering projects, certifications in Java, Cloud technologies, or AI/ML, and knowledge of OpenShift technology as an added advantage.,
