As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for new designing and updating large fabricated parts, welded structures, heavy assemblies, and sheet metal components. Your role will involve developing, selecting, and refining concept designs to generate high-quality 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor. Design verification through hand calculations, basic structural analysis, and tolerance stack-up analysis will be essential to ensure functional and structural integrity. You will conduct Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and develop DVP&R while applying DFM/DFA principles to optimize designs for cost-effective fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly. Managing Bills of Materials (BOMs), engineering change notices (ECNs), and revision histories will be part of your responsibilities. Creating manufacturing drawings in compliance with clients drafting standards, procedures, and tolerancing practices using Autodesk Inventor will also be crucial. Additionally, you will provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers or drafters. To qualify for this role, you should have a B.E. in Mechanical/Industrial Production Engineering with a minimum of 7 years of professional mechanical design experience focusing on large fabrications like structural frames and enclosures. Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, especially in creating Sheetmetal parts, large assemblies, and weldments, is required. A strong knowledge of concept design, detailed design, and design verifications is essential. Proficiency in hand calculations for structural elements, experience with GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and ASME Y14.5 standards are mandatory. Working knowledge of DFMEA, DFM/DFA, and a solid understanding of fabrication, welding, and machining processes are necessary for this role. Experience with PDM/PLM systems such as Autodesk Vault is preferred, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.,
You have an exciting opportunity in the field of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) available. The contract for this position is set to begin on 1st November 2024. Your role will require expertise in tools such as ANSYS Fluent, ICEPAK, and optionally Matlab (additional experience with Flo EFD, Power flow, ANSA/HM, T-Grid is a bonus). It is essential that you have experience in thermal analysis of electronic modules, automotive systems (such as HUD, Displays, ECUs), data centers, and control units. Additionally, experience with the analysis of High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Liquid cooling systems is expected. Your responsibilities will include working on PCBA and chassis designs for thermal heat management. You will be involved in modeling and analyzing fluid dynamics, heat transfer, multiphase phenomena, electronic cooling modeling, and flow analysis. Any additional experience with 1D simulation using Matlab or similar tools will be considered advantageous. Previous exposure to other automotive CFD projects will also be beneficial for this role.
