ITI Draftsman (Electrical) Fresher

You will be working as an ITI Draughtsman (Electrical) in the Electrical Engineering department on a full-time basis as a Fresher. Your main responsibility will be to support Junior engineers in creating electrical layout drawings, wiring diagrams, and panel GA drawings. This will involve using software such as Eplan, AutoCAD, or similar tools for 2D electrical drafting. Additionally, you will be expected to prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), lighting layouts, and conduit/cable routing plans based on electrical specifications, BOQs, and tender drawings. Your role will also entail assisting in the preparation of as-built drawings and updating revisions for project documentation. It is crucial that all drawings adhere to IS standards and organizational drafting protocols. You will be required to liaise with project/site teams for technical drawing updates or corrections, as well as print, file, and organize drawing sets and project folders in accordance with company standards. To excel in this role, you should be proficient in AutoCAD 2D for Electrical Drafting and possess knowledge of electrical symbols, panel design basics, and wiring layouts. An ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints is essential, along with a basic understanding of electrical components such as MCB, MCCB, contactors, MPCB, and relays. Familiarity with IS standards for electrical drawings, like IS 732 and IS 5578, is advantageous. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word would be preferred. In terms of behavioral skills, you should demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop in a technical drafting position. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential. Attention to detail and discipline in your drawing work will be key to your success in this role.
