Duties and Responsibilities: Counselling and other client-based services Interact directly with the assigned residents of the shelter and of other projects on need based. Conduct assessment of new clients. Conduct in-depth counselling to all the assigned residents (minimum 5 persons per day). Talk to clients and motivate them to take part in the various activities of the shelter. Find out the reason for non-participation. Conduct group sessions and Focused Group Discussions (FGDs) with the residents. Monitoring hygiene and medicine compliance of all the assigned residents. Conduct/ Facilitate energizer and other therapeutic sessions. Plan and organize monthly day-outs and other recreational opportunities for the shelter residents. Administering Scales (IDEAS, PANSS, GAF and LSP) quarterly in June, September, December and March. Take updates from the residential care givers regarding assigned residents. Update the supervisor regarding the day-to-day developments about the residents. Coordinate with the doctor regarding the status of the patients. Referring them to the doctor as or when required Attend the clinics of concerned doctors on their assigned days. In case of any concern, bring it to the attention of the concerned authority – Supervisors/ Program Officer/ Assistant Director. Attending emergencies as and when required Documentation and Reporting Conduct entry and exit paperwork as per protocol. Update and maintain files of individual cases. Prepare and maintain various reports- monthly counselling report, group session and FGD reports, awareness-medical camp-networking-advocacy report, scale administration report. Develop treatment plan for residents in every three months, and participate in quarter reviews. Prepare MIS and assist in preparing donors report. Maintain the counselling register regularly. Prepare and maintain individual case studies. Filling up the exit report of all the women exiting the shelter. Helping in documentation of the shelter activities as and when asked for by the Supervisor. Attending team meetings as and when convened. Reintegration and Inclusion of Clients Motivate clients to be economically active, facilitate engagement in paid employment, regular interaction with employers for retention and equal rights. Facilitate Govt. entitlements, client restoration, and community-based resettlement. Awareness, Advocacy & Networking Provide support in organizing awareness camps, medical camps, rehabilitation fair, and sports. Provide support in identifying and establishing professional relationship with police officials, Govt. health service providers, local NGOs & CBOs, KMC ward councilors, concern Govt. departments to assist clients gain access to education, care, entitlements and support services Teamwork, Inter Team Support & Support to the organization as a whole Provide support to other project teams as required. Job Summary: The Program Officer will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of programs that promote awareness, access to care, and community support. The Program Officer will also monitor program outcomes, prepare reports, raise funds and lead advocacy initiatives aimed at reducing stigma and improving mental health policies. RESPONSIBILITIES: Programme Coordination: Responsible for overall coordination, monitoring and ensuring effective implementation of the programme as per Annual Work Plan. Provide crisis intervention, and problem solving in identified areas for homeless program. Visit various homeless program to monitor progress and bring in changes to streamline processes where required. Regular interaction with project coordinators to be updated with project progress and provide support if required. Monitor program data collected through MIS. Develop and enhance professional relationships with social service, health and governmental agencies. Ensure networking with other organizations and developing working relationships. Participates and contributes in regular supervision meetings, team meetings, in house training sessions and conferences. Assist in program and operational planning. Fundraising, Proposals and Networking Initiatives: Develop and implement fundraising strategies to diversify funding sources and meet annual fundraising targets set by the organization. Develop compelling sponsorship proposals and pitches tailored to the interests and objectives of potential sponsors. Lead the development of grant proposals, funding applications, and donor appeals to secure grants, awards, and funding opportunities. Explore collaboration opportunities, strategic partnerships, and joint initiatives with other organizations to leverage resources, share best practices, and maximize impact. Build and maintain a robust network of contacts within the philanthropic community, including donors, foundations, corporations, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. Reporting and Documentation Donor Management – Fostering and sustaining relationship. Developing grant application/ project proposals for new and existing donors. Donor communication Facilitating existing and potential donor visits & meetings Representing organization in Donor organized events and forums and preparing power point presentations. Preparing various programme reports for funders and periodic reports for management. Ensuring financial stability and sustainability of the organization by securing project, general, core and corpus fund from different avenues as per strategic plan. Facilitate fundraisers events. Maintain and update programme progress data and relevant documents. Social Media Content The role involves managing the organisation’s social media presence in alignment with its vision. Plan, create, and post content that reflects sensitivity, respect, and inclusion while showcasing the organisation’s initiatives and impact. Maintaining a monthly content calendar, ensuring internal approvals before posting, and adhering to communication, safeguarding, and data protection norms. The person will monitor engagement, respond appropriately, prepare brief analytics reports, and coordinate with program and communication teams to ensure accurate and ethical representation of the organisation’s work. Inter Team Support & Support to the organization as a whole Provide support to other project teams as required. Participate in event committee meetings and assist in organizational events. Master’s Degree in Social Work/ Psychology/ Mental Health/ Public Health or a related field is mandatory. Minimum 5 years of experience in program management, preferably within mental health, public health, or non-profit organizations. Experience working with mental health programs, advocacy, or community engagement is highly desirable. In-depth understanding of mental health issues, policies, and best practices for service delivery and community engagement. Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation for programs. Competency in using project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Prior experience in fundraising or grant writing is an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write reports, proposals, and advocacy materials. Ability to build and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers, government agencies, donors, and other stakeholders.
