Tasks

Job Responsibilities

Closely working with R&D engineers to spread IP awareness, mine patentable inventions, conduct evaluation reviews, patentability searches and make patent filing decisions
Implement IP strategy, policy and inventor engagement programs for respective business units
Liaison with external partners: Law firms and vendors for patent drafting, filing and research
Drive initiatives to continuously improve the quantity and quality of patent portfolio
Collaborate and network with IP stakeholders within Daimler Truck AG and across industry

Skills Required

Quick learner, ability to understand and go deep in diverse/complex/emerging technological areas relevant to automotive domains
Prior art searching, patent drafting, patentability assessment
Patent research, landscaping and whitespace analysis

Registered Patent Agent with Indian patent office preferred
Good communication skills and ability to work in and contribute as a good team player
Experience in the automotive field and exposure of multi-cultural environment is an added advantage
Basic knowledge of German language preferred
