IOT Platform Test Engineer

As a Qualcomm Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, creating, and modifying test cases to validate embedded software, cloud software, system algorithms, application software, automation, and/or specialized utility programs for cutting-edge products. You will collaborate with various engineering teams to implement test plans. Here are the key responsibilities for the role: - Analyze and validate the performance of audio subsystems on Qualcomm platforms to meet strict metrics for robustness and stability. - Have an understanding of audio codes, standards, mobile audio, and IoT audio features. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system use case verification and commercialization of audio technologies. - Conduct system-level performance testing, measurements, and certifications. - Support diversity and inclusion within Qualcomm and demonstrate adaptability in a dynamic, multi-tasking team environment. The requirements for this role include: - Solid background in audio software and firmware fundamentals. - Experience in Android audio architecture or Linux audio drivers is a plus. - Familiarity with embedded platforms, DSP architectures, real-time operating systems, and software design patterns. - Quick learner, self-motivated, and capable of working independently across geographically dispersed teams. - Strong analysis and debugging skills. - Experience with audio hardware interfaces, tuning, and 3GPP standard testing is an additional advantage. Qualifications required for this position are: - Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering. - Effective oral and written communication skills. - Ability to work well in a team. - Knowledge of Python scripting, C programming, and debugging skills.
