About the department

Mandatory qualifications: DM Cardiology or DNB-SS Cardiology.

The degree must be recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

Key experience and technical expertise

Minimum Experience

Exceptional Candidates

Technical Proficiency (Subject-Specific Expertise)

Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) with Stenting (including Drug-Eluting Stents) and Coronary Angiography.
Percutaneous Device Closure procedures (e.g., ASD, VSD, PDA).
Balloon Valvuloplasty (Mitral, Aortic, Pulmonary Stenosis) and Coarctoplasty.
Permanent Pacemaker Implantation (PPI) and complex Cardiac Catheterization.

Clinical Leadership

Academic Focus

Key responsibilities

Provide clinical leadership for the Cardiology Department, working to lead and strengthen interventional services.
Perform scheduled and emergency invasive cardiac procedures and interventions (24x7 support).
Offer comprehensive cardiac consultant services to Outpatient Department (OPD) and inpatient admissions.
Manage critical care patients within the Coronary Care Unit (CCU).
Contribute to clinical training, research, and departmental development initiatives.
