The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking to recruit ahighly motivated, field-oriented, and experienced Research Assistant tosupport a dynamic potato development initiative in South-West Haryana. Thesuccessful candidate will be based in Mahendragarh, Haryana and will be responsible for coordinating,implementing, and monitoring field-level agronomic activities across fivedistricts. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute toimpactful agricultural research and development aimed at improving foodsecurity and livelihoods in the region. The position requires a strong background in potato seed systemsand agricultural practices. Practical expertise in pot-harvest management, pestand disease management, and potato production is essential. The candidateshould also demonstrate the ability to prepare and disseminate technicalreports, success stories, and promotional materials effectively. The role includes strategicthinking and the ability to work collaboratively with farmers, governmentdepartments and internal project teams. While the role will primarily focus onagronomic duties, the selected candidate will also be expected to take on awide range of responsibilities ensuring flexible and effective execution ofactivities as per project needs. Practical expertise in seed storage, pest anddisease management, and potato production is essential. The candidate shouldalso demonstrate the ability to prepare and disseminate technical reports,success stories, and promotional materials effectively. Language: The candidate must be fluent in Hindi to conversate withfarmers, with advanced written and oral communication skills in English. Requirements Coordinate and implement field activitiesacross Mahendragarh, Rewari, and Dadri districts. Support the identification and mobilization offarmers, and facilitate the formation of production clusters focused on both tableand processing potato varieties . The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking to recruit amotivated, hands-on agricultural professional to help implement a potatodevelopment project in South-West Haryana. The Consultant will work closelywith farmers, government departments, and project team to introduce,demonstrate, and promote table and processing potato varieties and providestraining to extension staff of Department of Horticulture and farmers on bestpotato production practices including post-harvest management. This is a field-basedrole involving farmer engagement, supervision of demonstration plots, andensuring the smooth rollout of project activities across project districts. Thisposition offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactfulagricultural research and development aimed at improving food security andlivelihoods in the region.
