Role & responsibilities - On receipt of Purchase order, updating the same in Import Data Sheet Co-ordinating with Purchase Dept and shipper about readiness of shipment. Once the shipment is ready, requesting shipper to share pre- shipment document for verification and correction. If FOB shipment, then floating the sea freight inquiry to forwarder and negotiating the best and lowest sea freight alongwith transit period and vessel schedule Asking Bl draft from Shipper and Forwarder for checking and correction. Post shipment document are forwarded to CHA for filing BOE at custom. Checklist received, checked and forwarded to Account Dept for checking and advance intimation about duty payment. On arrival of vessel , duty is paid and transportation are arranged to collect the material from CFS/DPD, Intimating Account dept for preparation of E Way to take cargo from PORT/CFS/Air Port.
