Intern - Materials and Process

As an intern at Airbus India Pvt Ltd in Bangalore, you will have the opportunity to work on a project titled "Sustainable foils for surface protection and Hazardous substance methodology" within the Structures department. This 6-month internship is scheduled to start in January 2026. Your main missions will include: - Literature search on sustainable foils for surface protection, PFAS & VOC emission quantification for temporary protection foils, and driving Green Innovation by finding material alternatives - Researching sustainable temporary protection foils used in different industries and supplier landscape in India - Exploring new calculation methods, including cost, performance, and sustainability criteria comparison - Deep diving into PFAS, VoC quantification/identification - Investigating cost-effective recycling methodologies for adhesive-based polymer foils Additionally, you will be deriving a methodology between Hazardous substance analysis M1027 and Human Toxicity Impact Category M1067, understanding the LCA process, hazardous substance categorization/classification, and environmental regulations applicable to Aviation and followed by Airbus. You will also assess and model the Human impact EHS indicator and environmental regulation standards to develop the overall impact - Human Toxicity by integrating Hazardous substance analysis and Human Toxicity-LCA. Throughout the internship, your tutor will assist you in identifying your professional objectives and developing your skills. The internship aims to help you develop skills in EHS in Aircraft materials and processes, global hazardous material regulations and methodologies, and sustainable polymer materials. The expected academic background for this internship is Environmental Engineering (or equivalent).
