Interior Designer

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Consultation:

  Meet with clients to understand their needs, preferences, budget, and lifestyle. Develop a strong rapport and provide expert advice on design possibilities.

• Concept & Design Development:

  Create detailed design concepts, including mood boards, 2D layouts, and 3D renderings using software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar programs.

• Space Planning:

  Optimize the use of space to create functional and aesthetically pleasing layouts.

• Material and Finish Selection:

  Source and select furniture, fixtures, lighting, and decorative items. Choose appropriate materials, colors, and finishes that align with the design concept and budget.

• Documentation:

  Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation for client and contractor use.

• Communication:

  Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns. Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including project managers and junior designers.

• Stay Current:

  Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies in the home interiors industry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of professional experience as an Interior Designer, preferably in a residential or home interiors setting.
• Proven proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape and other rendering programs.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of residential design projects.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of design principles, color theory, and space planning.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of aesthetics and creativity.
