Description
The Director of Product Engineering (DPE) at Axtria will leverage strong management and technical skills to establish objectives and devise strategies for the advancement of the global product platform. In this role, you will play a pivotal part as a creative, pragmatic, and collaborative engineering leader in delivering the product roadmap. Working in conjunction with cross-functional teams, subordinate managers, and engineering professionals, you will be pivotal in evolving and enhancing the product, user experience, and technical capabilities through customer-centric approaches and forward-thinking vision. Your responsibilities will encompass leading the team in developing enhancements to existing products, with a keen focus on competitive market analysis, customer requirements, technological advancements, product quality, and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: - Lead, direct, and manage the software design and development team for a global product - Oversee end-to-end design and development of the product technology platform - Ensure successful delivery of features meeting specifications with minimal operational support overhead - Collaborate effectively with line of business heads and stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication across the organization - Drive initiatives for operational improvement and encourage team members to do the same - Establish and monitor metrics of technical and business importance within the assigned system or functional area - Mentor managers and other senior team members - Analyze complex business needs and recommend technical solutions for enhancing the product platform - Demonstrate expertise in designing, developing, and delivering front-end, middleware, and back-end solutions using technologies such as Angular, React JS, Python, PHP Laravel, NodeJS, PostgreSQL, and MySQL - Proficiency in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) based on Agile methodologies including Sprint/Scrum and Kanban - Expertise in project management, leading global teams for design, development, and migration from development to testing to production Desired Candidate Profile: - Senior Manager/Director with 15+ years of experience in the technology sector - 10+ years of hands-on experience in software architecture, design, development, and product delivery - Previous experience in a product engineering manager or product engineering head role - Proficiency across multiple computing platforms and technologies with the ability to influence enterprise-level technology decisions - Experience in solutioning architecture for B2B, B2C, or SaaS applications - Preferred experience in the Life Science or Pharma industry - Flexible, energetic, confident, and solution-oriented - Capable of working in a fast-paced, global, multi-project environment with global teams - Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Qualifications: - B.Tech or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field Tech Stack Experience: - Hands-on expertise in design, development, and delivery of products using technologies like Python, PHP Laravel, NodeJS, React JS, Angular, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Cloud platforms (Private, Public - AWS, Azure, Hybrid) Join Axtria's dynamic and innovative team to drive technological advancements in the Life Sciences industry and make a meaningful impact on patient healthcare outcomes.,
