Intensivist

Intensivist duties and responsibilitiesThe core responsibilities of an intensivist involve direct patient care, advanced procedural skills, and leadership within the ICU. Patient management and procedures:

• Diagnose, treat, and continuously monitor patients with severe conditions such as multi-organ failure, sepsis, and respiratory distress.
• Formulate and implement evidence-based treatment plans, adjusting them based on patient response.
• Perform invasive and critical care procedures, including:
• Endotracheal intubation
• Central and arterial line insertions
• Mechanical ventilator management
• Hemodynamic monitoring
• Dialysis catheter placement
• Lead rapid response and resuscitation efforts during medical emergencies.
• Direct end-of-life care discussions with patients and their families and guide ethical decision-making regarding treatment.

Clinical leadership and collaboration:

• Supervise and train junior medical staff, residents, and other healthcare professionals in the ICU.
• Lead daily multidisciplinary rounds, coordinating care with nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other specialists.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and progress reports.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
