Job Title: Marketing Strategist (SEO Specialist)We are seeking an experienced Marketing Strategist with advanced SEO expertise to drive our online growth, improve search engine rankings, and increase lead generation through data-driven marketing strategies.Key Responsibilities1. Develop and Implement SEO StrategiesDesign and execute a data-driven SEO strategy to increase organic traffic and improve search rankings.Conduct advanced keyword research and competitor analysis to identify content gaps and opportunities.Create a roadmap for scaling organic growth, including content planning, link acquisition, and UX improvements.2. On-Page and Off-Page OptimizationOptimize meta tags, header structures, schema markup, and internal linking for higher SERP visibility.Conduct A/B testing on title tags, meta descriptions, and CTAs to improve click-through rates (CTR).Develop and execute a backlink acquisition strategy, including guest posting, HARO (Help a Reporter Out), and industry partnerships.Improve local SEO by optimizing Google Business Profile, creating localized content, and acquiring high-authority citations.3. Technical SEOPerform deep technical SEO audits using tools like Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, and Google Search Console to identify issues.Ensure website speed optimization by improving Core Web Vitals (Largest Contentful Paint, First Input Delay, Cumulative Layout Shift).Implement and optimize structured data (Schema Markup: FAQ, How-To, Reviews) for rich search results.Enhance mobile-first indexing and ensure proper canonical tag implementation to avoid duplicate content issues.Improve crawl budget optimization, ensuring important pages are indexed efficiently.4. Content StrategyDevelop SEO-friendly content for blogs, landing pages, case studies, whitepapers, and industry reports.Optimize content for voice search, featured snippets, and People Also Ask (PAA) opportunities.Collaborate with the content and design teams to enhance readability and user experience (UX).Leverage content repurposing to optimize existing content and update outdated blog posts.Implement topic clustering and pillar page strategies to establish topical authority.5. Performance Monitoring and ReportingUse Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Looker Studio, and Search Console to analyze traffic, rankings, and engagement metrics.Set up and track SEO KPIs such as organic sessions, keyword rankings, bounce rate, dwell time, and conversion rate.Implement heatmaps (Hotjar, Crazy Egg) and session recordings to analyze user behavior.Create in-depth SEO reports with actionable insights to continuously refine strategies.6. Stay Updated with SEO Trends & Industry ChangesMonitor Google algorithm updates (e.g., Helpful Content Update, Core Updates) and adjust strategies accordingly.Experiment with AI-powered SEO tools (SurferSEO, Clearscope, ChatGPT for content ideation) to improve workflow.Research new SERP features (Google Discover, Visual Search, Multisearch) to optimize for future trends.Attend SEO conferences/webinars (BrightonSEO, MozCon, SMX) and engage in online SEO communities. 7. Advanced SEO Techniques for GrowthImplement programmatic SEO to scale content production using automated solutions.Leverage entity-based SEO and natural language processing (NLP) to improve contextual relevance.Optimize images and videos using next-gen formats (WebP, AVIF) and video schema markup for improved rankings.Conduct log file analysis to understand how search engines crawl and index site content.Work with developers to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into website design & migrations.8. Client Communication & Cross-Department CollaborationProvide SEO training and education for internal teams to ensure best practices are followed.Work closely with developers, designers, and content teams to align SEO efforts with overall marketing goals.Create and present monthly performance reports & strategy updates to stakeholders.Offer consultations and SEO audits for new initiatives, product launches, and site redesigns.Required Qualifications5+ years of hands-on experience in Digital Marketing, SEO, and Performance Marketing.Proven expertise in On-page, Off-page, and Technical SEO strategies with a track record of increasing organic traffic. Strong experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and Google Tag Manager. Hands-on knowledge of SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, and Sitebulb.Proficiency in keyword research, competitor analysis, and SEO audits to optimize website performance.Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals, mobile-first indexing, structured data (Schema Markup), and site speed optimization.Experience in content strategy, topic clustering, and optimizing for featured snippets & People Also Ask (PAA) results.Expertise in link-building strategies, including guest posting, HARO outreach, and high-authority backlink acquisition.Knowledge of CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) strategies to enhance user experience and improve conversions. Familiarity with marketing automation tools (HubSpot, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign) and CRM platforms (Salesforce, Zoho CRM).Experience with PPC & paid advertising (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads) and integrating SEO with paid strategies.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.Excellent communication skills to collaborate with developers, content teams, and stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in B2B SaaS or FinTech marketing.Knowledge of tax resolution, CPA firms, or IRS-related services (a plus).Familiarity with AI-powered SEO tools (SurferSEO, Clearscope, MarketMuse). Experience in local SEO and multi-location optimization for service-based businesses. Ability to conduct technical SEO training & workshops for internal teams.
