Summary of Role: Leads a team of Field Sales Officer to achieve and exceed the budgeted sales and promotion of companys products in the assigned geographical area, optimizing productivity through planned coverage of customers, resource deployment, meaningful and timely implementation of sales promotion initiatives by each member of the team as per guidelines so as to accomplish the defined objectives for the position, within the framework of approved forecast and in accordance with established sales and distribution policies and procedures.. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Prepares the District targets for each of the key products, plans monthly sales targets and schedules sales for each member of his team of FSO to optimize the potential and field force productivity for each member of the team and for the district as a whole. Coordinates the sales efforts of FSOs in the District, with the availability of products with the wholesalers and takes prompt action to fill gaps, if any. Plans and organizes sales promotion campaigns, selecting a manageable number of pre-selected medical practitioners with high potential in the context of therapeutic requirement target for FSOs to make repeat calls or increase the frequency of calls and projecting specific sales message to motivate them to prescribe the companys products. Guides and assists the FSOs in evolving and implementing sales strategy, selection of customers, profitable coverage of sale area, determining frequency of calls. Plans and develops suitable sales strategy, consultation with the FSOs and accompanies the FSOs for making a call on medical practitioner, retailer or a hospital to demonstrate to him/her and help build self-confidence and sharpen his/her skills. Reviews and assesses the effectiveness of sales campaigns and programmes; takes corrective action and recommends improvement in sales planning, sales methods, market coverage and sales administration. Appraise performance on the achievement of targets against predefined objectives and recommends career progression decisions. Regulates the acceptance and execution of orders within the authorized limits and sees that the customer dues are collected in accordance with credit terms and outstanding are kept to the bare minimum. Qualifications & Experience: Education: Any Graduate / Pharmacy is preferred Experience: Min 1. 8 Year in first level managerial (people manager) experience.
Role & responsibilities Imbibe the product related features/benefits including scientific information thereto, so as to effectively communicate with the medical doctors and handle product related customer queries. Actively participate in identifying key and potential medical practitioners and specialists in the respective therapeutic segment in the assigned territory and prioritize for the purpose of systematic customer coverage so as to generate maximum prescription sales for the companys range of products as per business plan. Reviews and discusses his plans for the achievement of his territorys sales budget each month. Seeks the assistance of the District Sales Manager and the Zonal Sale Manager in formulating sales strategy, delivers promotional messages tailored to each customer need. Ensures thorough pre-call planning and asks for the assistance of the District Sales Manager, wherever necessary achieve and exceed the sales targets on a consistent basis through effective implementation of the sales promotion strategies and follow-up initiatives. Maintains regular contacts with medical practitioners, consultants, chemists and wholesalers. Prepares and implements special schedule for doctors visits/calls at the time of new product launch or sales campaign etc. using special presentation, promotional materials and sales strategies. Maintain and develop strong relationships with customers and build up a healthy rapport with them. Work collectively with other team colleagues in arranging special programs and CMEs to meet the educational/ knowledge updates of our products marketed by the company. Ensure adequate inventory level with trade partner and take prompt actions to prevent date expiry of products. Ensure timely submission of daily call report, sales documents, feedback reports, expense reports and other administrative duties are completed in an accurate and timely manner Actively participate in Cycle meetings, periodic Sales & Marketing meeting and conventions Imbibe the guidelines pertaining to Adverse Event Reporting and takes prompt action in compliance with the requirements.
