Instrumentation / Telecom Designer

Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrumentation / Telecom Designer to join our team at Cyient, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of instrumentation and telecommunication systems for various projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards, client specifications, and best practices.Job Responsibilities:*** Develop detailed design documents, including P&IDs, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, instrument index, data sheets, and installation details for instrumentation systems.* Design and specify telecommunication systems, including fiber optic networks, industrial wireless solutions, voice communication systems, and network infrastructure.* Perform calculations and analyses for instrument sizing, control valve sizing, and communication link budgets.* Prepare material requisitions, technical specifications, and scope of work for instrumentation and telecom equipment procurement.* Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and efficient system designs.* Conduct site surveys and gather necessary data for design development and problem-solving.* Review vendor drawings and technical proposals to ensure compliance with design requirements.* Support construction, commissioning, and startup activities related to instrumentation and telecom systems.* Identify and resolve design conflicts and technical issues in a timely manner.* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.Job Qualifications:*** Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.* Minimum of 5 years of experience in instrumentation and/or telecommunications design, preferably in industrial or infrastructure projects.* Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI), or equivalent.* Strong understanding of industry standards and codes (e.g., ISA, NEC, TIA/EIA).* Experience with various instrumentation types (e.g., pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters, control valves).* Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, Ethernet/IP).* Familiarity with network design principles and components (routers, switches, firewalls).* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines.
