The AutoCAD Draughtsman will be responsible for creating and modifying 2D drawings for various technical and engineering purposes. This includes schematic layouts, general arrangement (GA) layouts, equipment and piping layouts, piping and spools details, and system equipment drawings. The individual will also draft and detail specialized designs such as ventilation ducting drawings, cable routing layouts, single line diagrams (SLDs), instrumentation and control layouts, and electrical and plumbing (EP) layouts. Additionally, the role involves producing detailed assembly and component drawings for machinery, equipment, and civil designs. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in AutoCAD software to efficiently and effectively perform the tasks mentioned above. It is essential to demonstrate technical knowledge and practical experience with design software, possess strong attention to detail and precision in drafting tasks, and have the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Flexibility to adapt to project-specific requirements and changes is also required. The minimum experience required for this position is 2 years of hands-on experience in drafting across disciplines, including AutoCAD Civil, Mechanical, Process, Electrical, P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and piping drafting. The minimum qualifications include an ITI with NCTVT or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) with proficiency in AutoCAD.
