Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Instrument Technician to join our Operation & Maintenance team at JCPL, Lanjigarh. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of industrial instrumentation systems, with a preference for experience in Raw Material Handling Systems such as conveyors, stacker reclaimers, crushers, and feeders.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain field instruments such as pressure, level, flow, and temperature transmitters; sensors; control valves; and weighing systems.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation issues in Raw Material Handling equipment like belt weigh feeders, conveyor safety devices, pull cord switches, speed monitors, and chute level indicators.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance of instrumentation systems in line with OEM recommendations.
• Conduct loop checking, signal testing, and functional testing for PLC/DCS-based control systems in raw material areas.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, calibration logs, and spare parts inventory.
• Support shutdown, breakdown, and emergency maintenance in raw material handling plants to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety standards, statutory regulations, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical maintenance teams for smooth operation of the plant.

Qualification & Experience

• Education: ITI (Instrumentation/Electronics) or Diploma in Instrumentation/Electronics/EEE/Applied Electronics.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in industrial instrumentation maintenance.
• Preference: Experience in Raw Material Handling Systems in Aluminium, Steel, Cement, or Power Plant industry.
• Strong knowledge of calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of weighing systems, belt safety devices, and conveyor instrumentation.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical/instrument drawings, and equipment manuals.

Skills Required

• Hands-on experience with field instruments in process & raw material handling plants.
• Understanding of PLC/DCS control logic related to conveyors, stackers, and reclaimers.
• Strong fault-finding and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in shifts and under plant conditions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
